Grief Cafe in Walthamstow

Our Grief Cafe is an informal, supportive spaces where people come together to share their experiences of grief and connect with others who understand.

We sit in small groups, making it easy to talk — or simply to listen. Each group has a ‘table host’ who helps ensure everyone can take part in the way that feels right for them.

Whatever your grief, and whether the person died recently, some time ago, or the death is anticipated, you are very welcome to join us.

Everyone is welcome. We aim to create a space where people of all sexualities, genders, cultures, and backgrounds feel safe and respected.

Donations:

There is no charge for attending our Grief Cafe. We would, however, really appreciate a donation to help run our Grief Cafe if you can contribute.

Our Grief Cafe is run voluntarily, and we currently do not receive specific funding to cover the costs of running these sessions. Donations help us to continue offering these welcoming and supportive spaces for people experiencing grief and loss.

Please give whatever feels comfortable for you. Every contribution, whatever the amount, is greatly appreciated and helps us to keep the Grief Cafe going.

When booking, you can choose to make a donation of an amount that feels right for you. If you are unable to donate, please simply select the free place option when booking. We want everyone to feel welcome and able to attend, regardless of their circumstances.

We are very grateful to East of Eden for providing their café space to us free of charge. Please purchase your own drink from the café when you arrive.
