DESCRIPTION:Our Grief Cafe is an informal\, supportive spaces where people come together to share their experiences of grief and connect with others who understand. \nWe sit in small groups\, making it easy to talk — or simply to listen. Each group has a ‘table host’ who helps ensure everyone can take part in the way that feels right for them. \nWhatever your grief\, and whether the person died recently\, some time ago\, or the death is anticipated\, you are very welcome to join us. \nEveryone is welcome. We aim to create a space where people of all sexualities\, genders\, cultures\, and backgrounds feel safe and respected. \nDonations: \nThere is no charge for attending our Grief Cafe. We would\, however\, really appreciate a donation to help run our Grief Cafe if you can contribute. \nOur Grief Cafe is run voluntarily\, and we currently do not receive specific funding to cover the costs of running these sessions. Donations help us to continue offering these welcoming and supportive spaces for people experiencing grief and loss. \nPlease give whatever feels comfortable for you. Every contribution\, whatever the amount\, is greatly appreciated and helps us to keep the Grief Cafe going. \nWhen booking\, you can choose to make a donation of an amount that feels right for you. If you are unable to donate\, please simply select the free place option when booking. We want everyone to feel welcome and able to attend\, regardless of their circumstances. \nWe are very grateful to East of Eden for providing their café space to us free of charge. DESCRIPTION:Join us during Grief Awareness Week (2nd–8th December 2026) for our Understanding Grief Talk\, presented in collaboration with the Waltham Forest Mental Health and Wellness Team (NELFT NHS Foundation Trust). \nOur event aims to raise awareness and encourage open conversations about grief and loss. \nThe talk will provide information about grief and the grieving process to dispel common myths and misconceptions surrounding grief. We will also discuss the various ways that grief can affect us and explore coping strategies to look after ourselves and to support others. \nThe talk is suitable for those grieving and anyone who wants to increase their understanding of grief and how they can compassionately support others. \nIt will be an interactive session but there will be no expectation that you have to participate – you are welcome to just come along and listen. \nEveryone is welcome – whether you’ve been personally affected by grief or simply want to understand it better.
