DESCRIPTION:Our Understanding Grief Talk is open to Waltham Forest residents aged over 18 and adult users of Waltham Forest Health and Care services. \nWe’re presenting the talk  in collaboration with Waltham Forest Mental Health and Wellness Team (NELFT NHS Foundation Trust). \nThe talk will provide information about grief and the grieving process to dispel some of the common myths and misconceptions that surround grief. We will also discuss the various ways that grief can affect us and explore coping strategies to look after ourselves and to support others. \nIt will be an interactive session but there will be no expectation that you have to participate – you are very welcome to just come along and listen. \nThe talk will last 1.5 hours and then there will be 30 mins at the end for those that would like to stay for a drink and a chat. DESCRIPTION:Our Understanding Grief Talk is open to Waltham Forest residents aged over 18 and adult users of Waltham Forest Health and Care services. \nWe’re presenting the talk  in collaboration with Waltham Forest Mental Health and Wellness Team (NELFT NHS Foundation Trust). \nThe talk will provide information about grief and the grieving process to dispel some of the common myths and misconceptions that surround grief. We will also discuss the various ways that grief can affect us and explore coping strategies to look after ourselves and to support others. \nIt will be an interactive session but there will be no expectation that you have to participate – you are very welcome to just come along and listen. \nThe talk will last 1.5 hours and then there will be 30 mins at the end for those that would like to stay for a drink and a chat. This will be an opportunity to meet other local residents who are grieving and who may share similar experiences. \nThe event is FREE and refreshments will be provided.
